Dear Friends
Greetings!
I can hardly believe that we are approaching Thanksgiving already and the stores are full of Christmas items. It is just a blink and another year has sped by us. Such a busy, fruitful year!
My family and I always love this time of year. At the Thanksgiving table, we rehearse the wonderful blessings the Lord has given us and take communion together as a family committed to Him. During the whole Christmas season we can speak of the Savior to all who will listen and replace some of Santa Claus with a lot of Jesus.
We are working with Jeremiah Films on the project to have all our videos converted to DVD format and it taking a bit longer and a lot more dollars than we had anticipated. If you are thinking about a special Christmas gift this year for the ministry, your gift in this area would do a lot to reach a whole new generation of people.
This Newsletter issue is primarily on Mormonism, but Freemasonry is still a major part of our work. Earlier this year, I did an article on The Truth About Our Founding Fathers and Freemasonry. I continue getting requests for copies of that and want to offer it again to anyone who wants a copy. Just make a note on the enclosed return card and we will get one out to you. Please copy it as you wish.
I also want to encourage you to get a copy of our New video, The Secret World of Mormonism a new look at the LDS Church. Again, make a note on the return Card. The Cost is $20.00.
Please, remember us in your giving, especially at this time of the year. We have many expenses and need the partnership of your prayers and gifts to stay the course.
Also, every December I spend
significant time in personal prayer for your individual needs. I always pray for your
requests, but December is the time I let other things go and make your prayers my daily
priority. Please let me know how I can pray
effectively for you.

THE ELIZABETH SMART TV MOVIE: GIVE ME A BREAK!
While the world is happy knowing that Elizabeth Smart beat the odds and was actually returned to her family, the movie shown on TV, November 9th had little in common with the actual facts in the case. I am convinced that the LDS Church exercised some influence on the script. Someone had to, because it was pretty hard to pick up the real facts. You had to read between the lines to understand that this kidnapping had anything to do with the Mormon Church, its tainted history and its very active murky secret of polygamy.
The film showed Brian David Mitchell walking through the house with a flashlight, stopping to talk to god in the entry area, inferring that he was some delusional messiah/god figure. He kidnaps Elizabeth, flashing the light around her room, her sister sleeping at her side and takes her away to be his follower. Nowhere do we learn that he sexually abused her during the 9 months captivity.
Nowhere do we see that their attire drew little interest as they walked among the predominately Mormon population because they are just one such family among hundreds of others just like them roaming the streets of Utah any given day.
Nowhere do we learn that he was a former Mormon Bishop, that he did not believe he was god or the messiah, but believed he was the prophesied one mighty and strong and the true Mormon prophet who was to take other wives in the fundamental LDS manner.
Nowhere do you see the parallel to Brigham Young and Joseph Smith and their taking of many polygamous wives. Nowhere do we see that the 40,000 or more people in Utah freely involved today in polygamy do so using LDS scripture and doctrine to support their lifestyle that feeds off the sexual abuse of young girls.
Nowhere do we learn that Elizabeth was just one of over 1,000 such young girls taken over by so many other Brian David Mitchells each year in the many Mormon-bred polygamous groups. Most of them are given to these men by their own fathers, who in turn take other mens children to their beds.
The fact is that these men are theologically justified by current LDS scripture to violate these young girls. It is in the current edition of the LDS Scripture, The Doctrines and Covenants. I have copied a few of the polygamy verses for you below. Read it very carefully. It clearly says that those who do not abide in it are damned and any wife that does not agree to it shall be destroyed. The LDS Church can smile and say they are not involved with what happened to Elizabeth Smart, but they stand condemned by their history and own scripture:
The
Doctrine and Covenants 132:
The
Law of the Priesthood: Polygamy
4 For behold, I reveal unto you a new and an
everlasting covenant; and if ye abide not that covenant, then are ye damned; for no one
can reject this covenant and be permitted to enter into my glory
..
61 And again, as pertaining to the law of the priesthoodif any man
espouse a virgin, and desire to espouse another, and the first give her consent, and if he
espouse the second, and they are virgins, and have vowed to no other man, then is he
justified; he cannot commit adultery for they are given unto him; for he cannot commit
adultery with that that belongeth unto him and to no one else.
62 And if he have ten virgins given unto him by this law, he cannot commit adultery, for
they belong to him, and they are given unto him; therefore is he justified.
63 But if one or either of the ten virgins, after she is espoused, shall be with another
man, she has committed adultery, and shall be destroyed; for they are given unto him to
multiply and replenish the earth, according to my commandment, and to fulfil the promise
which was given by my Father before the foundation of the world, and for their exaltation
in the eternal worlds, that they may bear the souls of men; for herein is the work of my
Father continued, that he may be glorified.
64 And again, verily, verily, I say unto you,
if any man have a wife, who holds the keys of this power, and he teaches unto her the law
of my priesthood, as pertaining to these things, then shall she believe and administer
unto him, or she shall be destroyed, saith the Lord your God; for I will destroy her; for
I will magnify my name upon all those who receive and abide in my law.
Two movies show how low TV, and viewers, have sunk
Fri, Nov. 07, 2003Excerpted from the above article:
It's a stunning moment in TV vulgarity. A fake John Walsh tells a fake Larry King on a fake television show something that everyone in America already knows is true: A religious zealot may be the one who kidnapped Elizabeth Smart.
Elizabeth and the nation's other blond sweetheart of 2003, Jessica Lynch, square off at 9 p.m. EST Sunday in dueling docudramas. Each is an indictment of network TV for pandering and abandoning creativity. Together, they demonstrate beyond the shadow of doubt that commercial desperation can strip away decency and truth on television. On so many levels, CBS's "The Elizabeth Smart Story" and NBC's "Saving Jessica Lynch" are lies.
Hiding Elizabeth's parents' religion while glorifying their religious faith, CBS spins them into saints. Author Jon Krakauer, in his well-researched book "Under the Banner of Heaven, concludes that Elizabeth's ordeal was unlikely to have happened outside the edifice of Mormonism.
Elizabeth's abduction and her family's suffering were horrendous, and surely neither they nor their church is to blame. But to remove the sexual and religious context is not to tell the Elizabeth Smart story at all. And that's what CBS should have done.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is never mentioned in "The Elizabeth Smart Story." Nor is the fact that the Smarts are Mormons, as members of that faith are known, though they are faithful church members, and that the alleged kidnapper, Brian David Mitchell, has claimed he is the "one mighty and strong" who church founder Joseph Smith said God told him would be sent later to "set in order the house of God."
Gifts in Kind
I want to say a little bit at the years end about Gifts in Kind. These include stocks, cars, boats, RVs, real estate and even jewelry. There are many ways to help support a ministry like Saints Alive. That RV or boat you rarely use that is sitting in the storage facility that costs you $100/month could be donated at full retail value to Saints Alive, sold at market value and the money used to actively support the ministry.
Last year, when we still had about $10,000 left to pay for the printing of our three new booklets, someone donated an amount of stock to us. We sold the stock at a good price and had enough money to pay off that bill and have the booklets debt free. Hundreds of people have found Jesus through those booklets. What a direct reward for some shares of stock!
A few years earlier, we were given a late model Van, which we used for a summer missions trip to Utah and then sold it, using the proceeds to pay off the credit card bills incurred while ministering in Utah... That gift helped us lead many to Christ...
Would you think about this kind of giving? It works out great for both the giver and the receiver. If you have something that would help us out in this way, drop me a note or call. One small point, however. The gift, if it is a boat, car, truck or RV, needs to be in a saleable condition. We arent financially able to restore something to a saleable condition. Bless you!
